Career Experience
I have multiples years of experience working with kids K-undergrad. I've mentored undergraduates with their summer research grants by helping them organize and reach their research goals throughout the summer. I have been a camp counselor for 14 years at a children's theatre camp that helps students, K-8, create their own musical in a week. The camp teaches performance skills, reading comprehension, creative writing, memorization, and art skills. I've also directed a high school improv troop.
I Love Tutoring Because
I love connecting with students and watching their confidence grow through learning. I find it extremely rewarding to help a student realize that they not only can master the material but that they can use the same skills to tackle other problems in the future. I love working with each individual kid and figuring out what types of learning work best for them. My goal is always to get the students to the point where they no longer need the help of a tutor, however long it takes or in whatever teaching method is necessary.
